Connecting with people is what I do. Getting the reactions that I did is why I do it. I love making people laugh, smile, relax, or just be themselves in front of the camera. I know it's not always easy, but that's the part that I help you with during the headshot session.
I was hired to for a professional headshot session in San Francisco. They wanted a bright white backdrop. I went to their downtown offices and everyone, who has been working remotely, came into the office for a company retreat. They were having a team building event, painting canvases, enjoying treats, and maybe a sip or two of some wine. I had one of the conference rooms set up to accommodate each person, who signed up on a list to have their photo taken.
Each session was 5 minutes, at best. I helped guide each person through posing, angles, instructing them to move just a little to the left, chin down, smile...don't smile. And then, I said do something funny...or fun...or silly...and wow...that's what we got.
