If you're looking for a unique location to shoot headshots, North Beach is a great location. This vibrant San Francisco neighborhood has plenty of picturesque backdrops and colorful street scenes that will make you stand out. For my session with Jake, we used the North Beach Library and Joe DiMaggio Playground to capture these simple, yet effective backdrops to highlight both his professional side and his casual side. 

Jake was moving his career from the golf course into the corporate world, recently hired by a local law firm. He needed to update his LinkedIn profile photo, which was a selfie. He and I had a consultation prior to the session where he described what he was looking for in his photos. We talked through wardrobe, location and timing so that we were both prepared for this photo session.

I highly recommend having three different options to wear so that you have a variety of options to choose from when you receive your proofing gallery. As you can see from Jake's photos, he chose to diversify his third look by adding a hat. That's it. It immediately went from casual to fun with that one small addition. 

Each headshot session results in 5 professionally edited photos. It's easy to switch your look by adding or removing a jacket, changing the jewelry, putting on a hat, or swapping your shirt. A headshot session is from the chest upwards, so the bottom half doesn't matter.
