And boy, oh boy, are they busy!
The San Francisco Botanical Gardens provided a beautiful backdrop on a sunny Sunday afternoon for their two-year-old photo shoot. Upon arriving, both boys were ready to start exploring. Wearing matching yellow boots, they were off and running - in different directions. Mom stayed with one while Dad went with the other. They managed to wrangle the boys to take a photo sitting down.
As a photographer, I strive to capture children acting their age, interacting with their surroundings, and all the while try to make a connection with them. The camera can be a scary eye looking at you. I have an owl stuffy that wraps around my lens so the kids have something to focus on while I take their picture. The owl was very intriguing for these boys. They both took turns holding it. It gave us a connection.
It was a wonderful session. We found a great field that we could set down a blanket, have a snack and play some ball - which all made for fun, age-appropriate photos of the family having a good time together.
