Sibling bonds are the sweetest.  

I had the pleasure of photographing these twins in the Presidio at Lover's Lane. These two were dressed identically, from their hats down to their shoes. Every detail was thought through and that makes these photos long lasting memories of this age - 3.

When they first arrived, they were quiet. I call these tough customers. Thankfully, my twins are now 7, so I'm familiar with shows, books, and ideas that three year olds like. I had to use most of the tricks in my books to get them to loosen up. Both Mom and Dad played with the girls and we were able to get genuine smiles, laughter and compliance to get these two to show me their personalities. 

Prior to the session, I chatted with the Mom to get to know her and the family's personalities. I was aware that there was one that was a little shyer than the other. From the photos below, you would never be able to tell either of them were shy. They played until their socks, shoes and knees were dirty. It was so fun.

I loved photographing this time of their lives.
